Devnet wallet and rewards

Current blockchain status

Wingbits project is currently on "devnet" cluster on the Solana blockchain. This is where projects can test all their blockchain related mechanisms without using a live token. All tokens distributed on devnet are test tokens with zero value.

You do not have to setup an owner wallet (or host wallets) prior to mainnet. We do appreciate anyone who does the setup and helps test wallet operations.

Current Wingbits token claim testing

• Tokens claimed using the Wingbits dashboard claim functionality are distributed on devnet cluster.

• Only tokens generated after March 26th, 2025 can be claimed (prior distributions were done by testing daily distribution mechanics).

• Token does not need to be added to the wallet prior to claiming.

• Tokens claimed during devnet will only be visible on the devnet cluster using a wallet app that supports devnet properly or by using an explorer like https://explorer.solana.com/?cluster=devnet.

• New stations will not have a claimable balance until the rewards engine runs after midnight UTC the day the station starts contributing data.

• Initial "owner" wallet additions will not show a claimable balance until after the next nightly rewards calculation.

Wingbits transition to mainnet

When Wingbits transitions to mainnet, all mechanisms on the project will convert to work against mainnet only and all devnet tokens will be abandoned. This does not mean any previously rewarded tokens will be lost. Instead, they will all be distributed again on mainnet per the details below. Think of devnet like a trial run with test tokens.

Beta phase retroactive rewards and potential bonus

Your "All time" rewards on the site (on the day mainnet is live) is what will be distributed at a 1:1 ratio equally over 365 days to your claimable balance on mainnet. You can see that total on the overview page, on the top right after you select "All" as the charting period. Those include rewards from all stations under your account that have earned rewards from the beginning of your participation, even if they were deleted at some point.

All rewards earned prior to mainnet will be increased by a 20% bonus if you maintain at least one station online daily, within your account.

During nightly distribution for the 365 retroactive payment days, your account will be checked for at least one online (generated rewards) station the previous day. If one is found, your retroactive rewards for the day will be multiplied by 1.2. If no station was found to be online during the previous day, you will only get the base retroactive rewards.

Example:

You earned 36,500 tokens prior to mainnet. These base retroactive tokens will be distributed as 100 tokens per day over 365 days. Each day that base will be evaluated for bonus eligibility.

We may implement a station quality factor check, prior to mainnet or at any time during the 365 days, which must be passed to qualify for the bonus to daily retroactive rewards.
